CAMERON SCOTT SMITH
CAMERON SCOTT SMITH Cameron, age 50, suffered an untimely death in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 5, 2015. Cam waged a lifelong battle with reoccurring cancer; and suffered a debilitating stroke in 2007, from which he made a valiant effort to recover. Cameron resided in Honolulu, Hawaii, for the past several years, where he enjoyed the natural beauty and tranquility of peaceful Island life. He spent his childhood years in Riverside, and was affectionately known as "Cami" or "Bambi" to immediate family members, both nicknames that reflected his kind, easy-going nature and love of animals. Cameron ultimately moved to the State of Nebraska, where he married and shared in rearing four beautiful children; his family was "the light of his life." Cam attended college in Nebraska, where he earned degrees with a double major in Business Administration and Professional Studies. He was an accomplished entrepreneur and in 1990, opened "Silkwood International", a small business investment venture, along with the "Silkwood Horse Stables." Cameron is survived by his mother, Mary Janet Weathers of Riverside, California, and pre-deceased by his father, Harold Roy Smith of Alexandria, Louisiana; his father's wife and step-mother, Yvonne Smith of Louisiana; three adult sons--Daniel Scott Smith (wife Megan), Adam Steven Smith (wife Natalie), and Kenneth Cameron Smith (wife Laura); one daughter-- Kellee Chaya (Smith) Garza; and four grandchildren--Nathan, Caitlin, Dylan and Sadie, all of Nebraska; two brothers--Michael Roy Smith of Orange County, CA, and Christian Ray Smith of Riverside, CA; one sister, Cheryl Lyn Smith-Winberry and husband Larry, of Michigan. Additional siblings include two half-brothers--Aaron and Anthon Smith of Louisiana. Cameron will be interred at "Olivewood Memorial Park", Riverside, CA; services pending. "Rest in peace, my beloved son; we dearly miss you and look forward to being with you again, one day"--
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
