80Charles Frederick "Carl" Howard II, 42, of Kailua-Kona, a carpenter, builder, cartoon artist, illustrator and surfer, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y. He is survived by daughter Zoe, companion Holly Johnson, parents Maidee and Philip, and sisters Rachel Howard-Hines and Miriam Howard. Private services.
