80Brigitte von Platen, 87, of Portland, Ore., a retired German language teacher at Punahou School, died in Portland. She was born in Luneburg, Germany. She is survived by son Michael, daughter Ute Saito, sister Traudel Strippel and two grandchildren. Private service.
