ABIGAIL KAILIPANIO PAHIA GUTCHERABIGAIL KAILIPANIO PAHIA GUTCHER Passed away in Kailua-Kona on August 18, 2014. She was 90 years old. She was married to Robert Gutcher until his passing in February of 2006. She is survived by her two children Gary Robert Gutcher and Sandra Olani Decker, four grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren. As a child Abigail grew up in Kaneohe and attended Ben Parker school. During World War II she worked as a switchboard operator at the Kaneohe Navy Marine Corps Air Base and also as an usher at the Kaneohe Theater where she met her husband "Bob" Bob was from Montana stationed at Kaneohe serving as an aviation mechanic. They spent most of their lives living in Kailua. "Gail" was an avid bowler and participated in many bowling leagues in Kailua. She also loved to garden and share her flowers. Abigail retired from Macy's Ala Moana. She was proud of her Hawaiian heritage and believed it was important to pass that pride on to her children and grandchildren. A short, grave side memorial will be held on Friday, March 20, at 11 am at Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery at which time Abigail will be placed to rest with her husband Robert in the Veterans Colubarium.
