Minoru Nakasato
Feb. 11, 2015      Minoru “Mino” Nakasato, 88, of Kapaau, Hawaii, an Army veteran, a diesel mechanic for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and retired macadamia nut farmer, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. He was born in Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Lester, Elmer and Ralph; daughters Elsie Wipperman, Grace Nishimura, Janet Domen, Frances Swingler and Edith Asato; brother Shotoku Naka­sato; sisters Yuriko and Toshiko Kato, and Tomie Miyashiro and Janet S. Kimura; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Private committal services to be held at a later date. Casual attire. No flowers. In lieu of monetary offerings, donations suggested to Hawi Jodo Mission.
