LILY OKADA NISHIKI On February 26, 2015, Lily Tsuyuko Okada Nishiki passed away peacefully at her caregiver's home at the age of 100. She was born in Huelo, Maui on November 23, 1914, living her early years on Maui, graduating from Maui High (Class of 1933), then moving to Honolulu, where she worked for the Department of Education and raised her family. She was an educator by profession and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. Lily loved reading, music, traveling, preparing her delicious turkey with dressing dinners for her family and she loved all types of animals. In her retirement years, she spent happy hours caring for all of her grandchildren with the help of James, her husband of 73 years. They are now happily reunited. Survived by her sons Gordon (Marilyn), daughter-in-law Lynn (Grayson), Gerrit (Janice), Glenn (Ellen), six grandchildren (Gerri, Justin, Jennifer, Jeremy, Misha and Scott) and two greatgrand- sons (Rayden and Ryker). Also survived by her sister, Merle Shimokawa and many nieces and nephews. She had wonderful caregivers Susan Pulido, Feni and Prudencio Taclas in the last years of her life. A service to celebrate her life was held.
