79Sylvia Theresa Swain Akiona, 81, of Hilo, a retired clerk typist for the Hawaii County Parks and Recreation Division at Panaewa Zoo and former head housekeeper at Orchid Isle Hotel, died in Hilo. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by sons Lloyd Jr., Edward "Bimo," Deron, Emerson and Jason; daughter Sheree "Nalani"; sister Jeanette Weddell; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Nov. 7 at Reed's Bay Beach Park, Hilo. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Lei welcome. Donations suggested to Hospice of Hilo.
