FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Myrtle J. Harmon
MYRTLE J. HARMON Passed away 29 September 2015. Born 16 October 1928, and raised in Louisville KY, by her parents, Clarence P. Jacobsen and Nell Eubanks Jacobsen. Myrt attended the University of Louisville and married Jack Harmon in 1948. She and Jack founded SEACO, Inc. of Kailua in 1972. She was its Administrative Director and became highly recognized for her work in Security and Personnel. She was a devoted wife and mother, raising the family in several towns across the country where Jack's work took them. Her passion was cooking and entertaining. She and Jack were active church workers in Grand Rapids MI, Dayton OH, and Corona del Mar CA, where they were youth counselors. Myrt was preceeded in death by her sister, Marinell Mehne of Virginia Beach VA. She is survived by her husband Jack; daughter Rebecca Walding and husband Clark, of Santa Fe NM; son John Harmon and wife Carol, of Kailua; and son Bob Harmon and wife Young, of Hawaii Kai; Grandchildren JB Harmon and wife Stephanie, of Seattle, WA; and Bobby Jones of San Diego, and her children (Myrt's Great Grandchildren), Ayianna and Jayden; and an ohana of nieces and nephews across the mainland. A Celebration of her life will be held at Kahala Nui retirement community on Thursday, 8 October at 2:00pm.
