74Laureen S. "Laurie" Sakai-Higley, 58, of Lihue, a state Department of Human Services supervisor, died. She was born in Lihue. She is survived by husband Michael Higley, daughters Alohalani and Farren Higley, son Quintin, mother Patsy Sakai, sisters Kristine Jardin and Carlene Oshiro, and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Oct. 31 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
