75Paula Zoe Helfrich, 69, of Hilo, a professor in Burma, died in the Queen's Medical Center West. She was born in Peoria, Ill. She is survived by husband Saw P. Venessy; daughters Laurien and Andrea Helfrich-Nuss; sisters Eleanor Helfrich, Mary M. Uyeda, Elizabeth Barton and Catherine Williams; and brother Thomas. Private services.
