CARMEL MARIE GOMES Marie, daughter of Joseph S & Lucy Marciel Gomes, a lifelong resident of Kailua, passed away on September 11, 2015 at the age of 79. Marie was a proud 1954 graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy. She began her career working for the Bank of Hawaii, then the Bank of America, and finally retired from the Kailua Post Office. She also worked for McDonalds, Kailua. Marie was a very devoted member of St Anthony Parish, where she served as an usher, CCD teacher, and Eucharistic Minister. Marie loved her Kailua Senior Citizen Group, and annual Marciel family PGA Reunions. Marie is survived by primary caregiver and cousin Stephanie Pahia, and many Marciel and Gomes cousins.
