Angel Macanas, 72, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a field supervisor for Royal Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Co. and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Pepeekeo. He is survived by wife Georgeanna; sons Angel Jr. and Vernon; daughter Cindy "Chez"; sisters Natividad Pinzon, Francisca Pajarillo and Genoveva Gomez; brothers Juan Macanas, and Erdulfo and Edmando Mangibin; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Burial: noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
