David Buren Rainwater, aka David B. Smith, 88, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired Air Force staff sergeant who served in World War II, the Korean War and during the Vietnam era, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. He was born in Springfield, Mo. He is survived by wife Felicitas B. Smith, daughters Davina Poohina and Dina Velez, brother Dwight Smith, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service: 10 a.m. Burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
