David Buren Rainwater, also known as David B. Smith, 88, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired Air Force staff sergeant who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. He was born in Springfield, Mo. He is survived by wife Felicitas B. Smith, daughters Davina Poohina and Dina Velez, brother Dwight Smith, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to be held at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
