73Alfred Alatan, 90, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a retired crane operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kalopa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Felicidad "Fely"; sons Michael, Gerald and David; daughters Laura Fontes, Verna Alatan and Nancy Areola; brothers Leonardo Alatan, Gilmore Claonan and Eddie Recopilacion; sisters Rosemary Moses, Frances Spidell, Elizabeth Maldonado, Agnes Kerstetter, Julia Boreliz and Frannie Rodrigues; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou, Hawaii. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial at Alae Cemetery, section L. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
