Dr. Leonard J. Kryston
DR. LEONARD J. KRYSTON Dr. Leonard J. Kryston, 78, died December 21, 2015 at Straub Hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Rosalie, sisters Adele Krokes and Carolyn Kryston-Morales and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born and educated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania having graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory School and St. Joseph's college and receiving his M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. His residencies in internal medicine and endocrinology were completed at Hahnemann Medical College where he conducted research in diabetes and published extensively. He was Board certified in both specialties and was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. For many years he practiced his specialties at Pennsylvania Hospital and was on the clinical faculty of The University of Pennsylvania. Since 1998 he practiced at Straub Clinic and Hospital in Honolulu Hawaii and did clinical teaching at John Burns School of Medicine. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed travel, golf and fishing. Services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to CurePSP.org
