MITSUE YAMAGUCHI ALU 94, of Kaneohe, passed away on September 18 with her family at her side at the Arcadia Retirement Residence in Honolulu. She was born on December 25, 1921 in Puunene, Maui and was a retired nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Liliha. She and husband Ernest Alu (deceased) were long time members of the Kalakaua Lions Club and active with the Farrington High School Booster Club, and the Kalihi-Palama Council. She is survived by her brother Kazuto Yamaguchi (Gloria) of Maui and sister Amy Lee (Gary) of Kent, Washington; children Chasmin Sokoloski (Stan), Charmin Wong (Richard deceased), Charmain Wong (Bruce) and Caydie Sitch (Ken); twelve grandchildren, Tammy Wong Lafita, Todd Wong, Sherry Sokoloski Campagna, Desiree Wong Aganus, Ward Sokoloski, Jody Sitch Johnson, Amber Moani Nanod-Sitch, Micah Wong, Richard Wong, Jamie Sitch, Sarah Wong Moriarty, Noah Wong; twenty-nine great- grandchildren, two great-great- grandsons and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kamehameha Schools Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 9th. Visitation 12:30pm, Service 1:15pm.
