PABLO METIZ Age 91, of Honolulu, a former employee and retiree of the Outrigger Reef Hotel, Waikiki and retiree from the AFL Hotel Union and Legacy Member of the Puerto Rican Association of Honolulu, Hawaii; died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in Lakewood, WA; where he resided with his daughter Katherine and son-in-law Pete S. Rivera. He was born in Lahaina, Maui. He is survived by sons, Pablo P. Metiz, Anthony J. Metiz; daughters, Katherine M. Rivera, Vera L. Espinoza, Verna L. Swory, Magdeline L. Watts; brother, Andrew (Esther) Mitte of Pearl City; sister, Virginia Gualdarama of Wahiawa; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grand- children; uncles, aunts, god children, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by wife Lucy Troche-Medeiros Metiz; April 2008. Survived by 4 step-sons, 2 step-daughters, and step-grandchildren. Visitation and Eulogy 10:00- 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 5) at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa Church (712 N. School St., Honolulu); Mass Service 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Burial 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Flowers welcome.
