NORITA LEDBETTER HASSELLE 12/28/1937-9/27/2016 Norita (Rita) Hasselle of Honolulu passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 after a ten year bout with Alzheimers. She was 78. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Lahman of Topeka, KS, Deborah Baehr of Irving, TX and her son Mike Hasselle of Honolulu, HI, her brother David Ledbetter of Cookeville, TN as well as 8 Grandchildren and 9 great grand- children. Rita was born and raised in Cookeville, TN and lived in Memphis, TN, Topeka, KS and Grand Prairie, TX before moving to Honolulu in 2012. She received her Master's in Social Work from the University of Kansas, was a former Social Worker for the Board of Education, an excellent pianist and in her younger years sang like an angel in the church choir. Rita was loved by many and leaves many memories for her family and friends to cherish forever. Based on Rita's wishes, there will not be a formal service, however donations are appreciated at www.alz.org.
