Melvin Kaoru “Blackie” Iha
MELVIN KAORU BLACKIE IHA Age 73, of Honolulu, HI, passed away on September 6, 2016, at home. He was born on May 7, 1943. He was a Vietnam War veteran, and retired as a lineman for Hawaiian Telephone Company. He is survived by brother, Herman "Sam" (Verna Lou "Ulu") Iha; sisters, Sharon (Max) Shinkawa, and Sharlene (Keith) Shimada. Mr. Iha was a member of the Ginowan Shijin Kai club. Visitation 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Aloha attire, no monetary offerings, and no flowers.
