NANCY ASAKO TAKABAYASHI EMILIANO
NANCY ASAKO TAKABAYASHI EMILIANO December 23, 1930 - August 30, 2016 Nancy Asako (Takabayashi) Emiliano went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2016, at home surrounded by her family and friends. She devoted her life to nurturing her family, friends, and all who knew her. She leaves behind a loving legacy of her husband Manuel Emiliano, Jr.; daughters Helen Stupplebeen, Sherilynn, Tracy (Stacey) Tangonan; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Elaine (Mitsuharu) Uchida. She was a graduate of McKinley High School, University of Hawaii, and Honolulu Bible Training School. She was a member of Kalihi Union, Kaimuki Evangelical Church and later, New Hope. She was a social worker for the Department of Health and left to raise her children. At the age of 38, Nancy returned to the University of Hawaii, College of Education to become a Special Education Teacher. She taught at Fern Elementary School. Her students thrived under her care and many were rescinded from special education. A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at Hosoi Mortuary.
