Arnold "Blackie" K. Kala 66, of Aiea and a retired carpenter for K.A.N. Builders, died on September 18, 2016 in Kailua. He was born in Hana, Maui, Hawaii. He is survived by son Brandon Kala; daughter Shannon Kala; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Baylin, Steve and Colber Kala; sisters Mary Ann Wilcox, Sharon Kala, Ruby Kahananui and Rechenda Kahananui.
