For the past 30 years he taught in the Outreach College, NICE Language Program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he was very dedicated and loved by his students. Ash grew up in Arlington, MA. He attended North Cambridge Catholic High School in Cambridge, MA and Providence College in Rhode Island. Ash will be remembered as a beloved teacher, brother, uncle, friend, son, nephew, godfather and community member who supported many causes. He believed in doing "the florecita" of the day-it meant helping someone or some cause. He did not think one could be perfect, but he strived for excellence in all he did. Our sweet, gentle friend, you are already sorely missed but your "florecitas" will continue growing. Scattering of his ashes will take place on Thursday, October 13 at 11:00am Beachside between the Moana Surfrider Westin Resort and the Outrigger Hotel in Waikiki, fronting the concession stand beside the canoes in the Royal colors of red and yellow. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at Unity Church, Diamond Head on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00am. A reception to follow the service will be at Happy Valley Restaurant across from the church.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
