Virginia "Dadai" Pamplona Soares 69, of Keaau, died on October 2, 2016 at St. Francis Hospice. She was born in Dao, Capiz, Philippines. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Edward Soares, Jr.; daughter Kathryn Balvage; sons Kevin Poligratis and Kerstan Poligratis; brothers Elmer Alcordo and Catalino Alcordo; sisters Lee Ann Kawaa, Tina Bernadas and Dawn Carrizosa-Rosales; 2 grand- daughters. Visitation: 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday (Oct. 13, 2016) at New Hope - Hilo, 840 Kupulau Road; Funeral service: 10 a.m. Graveside committal service at 9 a.m. on Friday (Oct. 14, 2016) at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire.
