David Herman Sherwood 71, of Hilo,died September 20, 2016 at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu on May 2, 1945. He was the owner of Char's Taxi and Shuttle and was formerly a truck driver for Hanson Concrete in California. Survived by his wife Charlene Sherwood; daughters Jaimelynn and Jaidelynn Sapla; brothers Sherwood, Sherman and Hamilton Kaopua; sister Edwina Mahelona. Visitation: 9:00- 11:00 am. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Casual Attire.
