FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

DANIEL TALBERT
DANIEL TALBERTDANIEL TALBERT Daniel Talbert, who lived an unselfish life of honor, duty and compassion, suffered a fatal heart attack on August 26th, 2016 with his children by his side. He was 93, lived independently starting with breakfast at McDonald's and ending with a sunset on his lanai. Daniel, his younger brother Henry and older sister Geraldine, the children of Helen Kai, were orphaned when he was 11 years old. Wards of The Liliuokalani Trust, Ted and Dorothy Nobriga eventually adopted the boys. Daniel was McKinley High School's student body president and he received commendations for his service as fire chief in Hawai'i, Subic Bay and Da Nang AB during the Vietnam war. Our dad loved building, inventing better ways to do things and imagining adventures that took him around the world. At age 48, he went back to school and acquired an associate's degree with honors. Daniel and wife Connie Medina have four children, David, Patricia, Theodore and Chris who put themselves through college. Among his fourteen grandchildren, 11 have college degrees with three on their way. There are fifteen great- grandchildren ages 3 to 13. A Celebration of Daniel Talbert's life will be held at the Bishop Museum at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22nd, 2016. All donations will be given to Daniel's favorite charities. The world is a better place because our dad was in it. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
