Sanford Yasutaro Yanagi 91, of Hilo, Hawaii, died on September 26, 2016 at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Holualoa, Kona, Hawaii. He was a retired district state tax administrator, US Army World War II veteran, 442nd Regimental Headquarters, former member of the US Army Reserve. Private services were held. No koden (monetary gifts); no flowers. He is survived by Son Randall Yanagi, Gary Yanagi Tracy Yanagi; Brother Raymond Yanagi; 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great -Grandchild, Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
