COLEEN PANG-YAMANE, 65 Coleen "Babo" Lani Pang-Yamane, a fighter until the end, finally lost her battle with cancer on July 28, 2017. She passed peacefully at home in Honolulu, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 21, 1951 to Albert K.Y. and Lorraine H.K. (Kam) Pang. She was an animal lover and appreciated the simpler things in life, especially family. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969, then attended UH Manoa, where she obtained a degree in Anthropology. She spent her career in U.S. Federal Government service, the majority with the Department of Navy at Pearl Harbor Shipyard. There, Coleen met her soul mate, Alric H. Yamane, to whom she was happily married for 25 years, until his death in 2014. Coleen was preceded in death by her loving husband and her parents. Coleen is survived by her brother Gary (Ann) Pang; nieces Jaeda (Dion Antonio) Pang, Jeanine (Ryan Rubianes) Pang, and Julia Pang; grandniece Leila Antonio; her sisters of Ke Anuenue Sorority; and the Kam and Yamane families. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Nu'uanu Memorial Park at 11:30 am. Public viewing at 10:30 am.
