79, of Honolulu, a retired Lt Col served 20 years in active military service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and 20 years as a civilian engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pacific Ocean Division, died in Honolulu on July 15, 2017. He was born in Honokaa, Hawaii. Survived by wife Mabel, sisters Mildred Hirokawa and Elsie (Hagime) Fujita and several nieces and nephews. Private services held. No Koden.
