Betty Rose Mau Siu, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed on July 27, 2017. She was born on November 21, 1923 in Honolulu, as the fifth of 7 siblings to Mau Young Chin and Kam Ah Yam. Betty attended Farrington High School, loved sports and traveling. She lived in the Philippines from 1968-1972 and traveled with her sister and friends around the world. Betty was a practicing Buddhist at the Soka Gakkai International Hawaii Culture Center and a member of the Moanalua Senior Citizen Club. Predeceased by her husband, Albert Siu, and siblings Helen Ho, Henry Mow, Harry Mau, Dorothy Lee, and David Mau. She is survived by her four sons, Carlton (Burma), Darrell, Gerard, and Warring (Linda); grandchildren Charlotte (Allen) Watkins, Collin, and Brandeelin (John) Mack; and brother George (Annie) Mow. Visitation will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 9:00 AM; followed by a service at 10:00 AM; burial at 12:30 PM.
