Marjorie A. Franklin, 89, passed away on Aug. 13, 2017. Born on April 24, 1928 in Palo Alto, CA to Frank & Alma Brooks. Marge or Maggie, as friends called her, was one of four children & was predeceased by siblings Russell Brooks, Raymond Brooks, & Olive MacPherson. Marge moved to Honolulu in 1948 to experience island living & ended up staying for life. She was employed at Bishop National Bank (nka First Hawaiian Bank) & at Ilco Development Co. She married local boy & fellow banker Stanley W. Franklin in 1952, raising three sons, many dogs, & a couple of cats. Survived by sons Stephen (Paulette), Craig (Diana), & Brooks Kimo (Marci), as well as four grandchildren (Marcus, Ian, Melissa, & Maya). She was a dedicated dog lover who adopted, trained, & cared for many breeds of dogs, but she was especially fond of Labrador & Golden Retrievers. Private services.
