FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MARGARET “BUNNY” BURNS WEBSTER
100, of Ahualoa, the Big Island, died June 12 at home. Born in Paia, Maui, she also called home in Kealia, Kaua'i, and Manoa, Honolulu. A private memorial service was held. She was a master Hawaiian quilter whose quilts were regularly displayed in the annual Merrie Monarch Festival quilt shows in the 1990s. A member of the Daughters of Hawai'i, she also loved to paint, garden, and favored cats and horses. Bunny was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Charles "Chick" Webster, DVM, and children Margaret "Tina" Marley and Benjamin "Benny" Webster. She is survived by sons Charles (Katherine) Webster, Jr. of Hilo, Captain Peter (Joan) Webster of Gig Harbor, WA; daughter Susanne Duarte of Hau'ula; brother Frank W. Burns of Seattle, WA; 12 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren. Donations may be made in her memory to North Hawai'i Hospice (65-1328 Kawaihae Rd., Kamuela, HI 96743) or the Daughters of Hawai'i (c/o Hulihee Palace, 75-5718 Ali'i Drive, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745).
