Lawrence, 75, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2018 at his home in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu on June 25, 1943 and graduated from the University of Hawaii. Lawrence worked as a Contract Manager and retired with the U.S. Department of Defense. Lawrence is survived by his wife Esther, daughter Pamela (Daryl) Ueno, son Michael (Pearlyn) Maru, and 2 grandchildren. Also surviving him are his sisters Evelyn (Henry) Yonamine, Katherine Taniguchi, and half-sister Dinah Maru. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Maru and sister Elizabeth Gamiao.
