Henry (Hank) Lawrence Rente (84) Beloved Father, Papa, and Brother has left this earth to rejoin his beloved wife of 58 years Marilyn Jean Rente. As a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army he achieved rank of Staff Sergeant. He started his golf career at the early age of 13 as a caddy at the Fort Shafter Golf course aka the Walter Nagorski Golf Course where he was mentored by Walter Nagorski himself. Henry's hard work, dedication and talent had earned him the status of Golf Professional. His golf career brought him to be a Pro at the following courses: Navy Marine, Barber's Point, Hawaii Country Club, Leilehua and made full circle of his career by retiring 2004 as a Golf Professional at the same place where he got his start the Fort Shafter aka The Walter Nagorski Golf Course. One of the greatest honor's he received was being chosen PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR by the Aloha Section of the PGA in 1982. Henry's work ethic was impeccable as it showed in the many awards that he received throughout his career. He served in the Aloha Section of the PGA in the trust worthy position of Treasurer for many years and is listed as a Renowned Section Member of the Aloha Section of the PGA. He was a generous man, great story teller and above all a devoted family man who will be missed by many. He leaves behind his children Henry Rente Jr. (Cheryl), Sharon LaFortune (Pierre), Donna Kamei (Glenn); Grandchildren: Nicole, Jean, Cody, Dhanielle, Branden, E'Lise and Tiana; Great Grandchildren: Rayden and Sage (preceded in death), Kashton and Nadia; His sister Yvonne Bradley and brother Steven Rente. Funeral service is 07/30/2018. Borthwick Mortuary Makai Chapel. Visitation: 9am, Services 10am. Burial to follow at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 1PM
