LEROY A. SOARES JR., LEE "When you were a baby, I held you in my arms. When you were a child, I held you in my lap. When you were grown, I held you in my prayers. Now that you're gone I hold you in my heart forever." R.L. Leroy, age 48, beloved son, cherished nephew, and adored cousin, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Leroy was the precious son of Linda and Roy Manuel. Leroy attended SECOH program for 25 years. Throughout his time at SECOH, Leroy learned skills that helped him to become more independent, as well as enjoying countless recreational outings and activities in the community. Being of special needs, Leroy was affectionately and very proudly cared for by his mother and his late Grandmother Bernice Belaski. Leroy had a warm charismatic personality that attracted people to him throughout his life. Although Leroy couldn't verbally communicate, he was able to express much love and bring wonderful joy to his family. All who knew and loved Leroy were truly privileged and blessed to have him be a part of their lives. Leroy is survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Services will be held on: Friday July 27, 2018; Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary in the East Chapel; Visitation at 10:00am; Service 11:00am.
