73, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away on Thursday, June 28th at Pali Momi Medical Center. She was born on May 17, 1945, to Noboru and Hilda Tsutae Noda. Evelyn is a retired teacher of 41 years with the Hawaii State Department of Education. She taught at Linekona School, Kaiser High School, and Pearl City High School. She loved to pass the time reading novels, gardening, and spending time with her family. Evelyn is survived by her husband Francis, son Michael (Cherilyn) Evangelista, daughters Nicolle (Patrick) Puu, and Danielle (Sherman Nakagawa) Evangelista and 9 grandchildren, Kayla, Caitlin, Keisha, Taesha, Anela, Micah, Matthew, Kainalu and Reef. Also surviving are her brother Nathan "Osamu" Noda, sisters Marian (Edward) Kiyuna, Sally (William) Geiger, and sister-in-law Doris Noda and brother-in-law Wallace Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother Ernest Noda, and Norma Shidaki. Services: 5:30 P.M. on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Casual attire.
