FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Clifford “Apau” Kazuyoshi Kanehira
Clifford  Clifford "Apau" Kazuyoshi Kanehira passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 92. He was a retired carpenter who used his craft to provide for his family and help others. He lived in Kaneohe and loved to play the ukulele and go fishing. He was a kind, devoted husband to his loving wife Betty Yaeko Kanehira who he met at a camp Hanafuda game. Apau continued weekly Hanafuda games with his ever-cheerful brother "Jimmy" Nobuaki Kanehira. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends who will remember him as bashful and always willing to lend a hand. Services on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Visitation 9:30 a.m.; Service 10:30 a.m. at Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, followed by fellowship and lunch. Burial: 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park. ~ Aloha attire ~ Flowers welcomed; please no koden.
