PAMELA ROSE CHANG
69, passed away on March 29, 2019, in Las Vegas, NV. She was born in Staten Island, NY on February 15, 1950 to William & Rose Schmeider (nee Malaspino). Pam always had the desire to care for others. In 1971 she graduated from Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing in NYC. While in nursing school, she met the love of her life, Andrew. She put her sewing talents to good use, creating her own wedding dress and said "I do" to him on June 11, 1971. In 1974, they moved to Hawaii. There Pam practiced as a labor and delivery nurse and Lamaze instructor. She had the wonderful ability to connect with people, touching so many lives with her caring nature. Pam and Andrew had two children, Cristine and Adam, which they happily raised on the island of Oahu. In her later years, Pam enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. They toured all of Europe and most recently visited Australia. Her hobbies included rescuing animals, visiting her children and grandchildren, dancing, women's bible study, playing cards, completing crossword puzzles, reading the daily newspaper, and savoring chocolate. Lots of chocolate! She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Andrew; two children, Cristine and Adam; grandchildren; Cole, Levi, Jeda, Lainey, Harley, Emily and Emily's mother Tiffany; Pam's mother Rose; siblings, Helinda and Dennis; countless nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and by many other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in honor of Pamela Chang to the Hawaiian Humane Society. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Oahu, Hawaii in June. The details will be posted when ceremony date and time is confirmed. Please visit www.kraftsussman.com for service details.
