Evan Russell Shirley, 73, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on March 27, 2019. Born in Whittier, California, Evan moved to Honolulu in 1971 where he soon met his wife and stepson. Known for his humor, intelligence, energetic personality, and courage, Evan touched many lives and was a pillar of Hawaii's legal community. Evan loved life. He loved the practice of law, making people laugh, University of Hawaii basketball, technology, travel, history, politics, his friends, and, most of all, his family. He is survived by his wife Elaine, son Gregory Ferren, daughter-in-law Jenne Ferren, grandchildren Bram Ferren and Chloe Flossic, brother Stephen Shirley, sister Nancy Rostkowski, and brother-in-law Gene Rostkowski, Well done Evan!
