Johanna Puahinano Matala Mokiao
64, of Nanakuli, returned to her Heavenly Father on February 25, 2019. Born April 21, 1954 in Honolulu, she was the daughter of the Late William H.W. Keiki, Sr. & Esther Latai Alapai Keiki. Tala retired as a Secretary Social Worker for the Welfare Receipient Council Palama Settlement for over 15 years. She loved Arts & Crafts including creating picture frames with puka shells she hand picked. She also loved riding her bike around Nanakuli. Tala was amongst the first graduating class of Nanakuli H.S. in 1972. Survived by her daughters Charnavene "Mamo" Kiesel-Mokiao & Esther Matala "Es" Keiki. Grandchildren: Charnalynn "Ana" Mokiao-Fragoso, Atae "AJ", Aleki, Alaynia, Akoni Mokiao-Kiesel, Joshua Nui & Jaylee Keiki; Great grandchildren: Mordechai, Makanalei, Marvela Mokiao. She is also survived by her brothers William "Wong Sun" Keiki JR., Baldwin "Kaena", Wayne "Kui Kong" & Craig "Vuni" Keiki; sisters Charmaine "Pikake" Mokiao, Novelene "Pakalana" Robinson & Harolynn "Loke" Yuen. Family will receive Friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kalaeloa Chapel, 2074 Lauwiliwili St. Kapolei. Services to begin at 12:00 p.m. Internment will be Private. Flowers & Lei are Welcome.
