Age 55, of Mililani, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was born February 18, 1964 in Honolulu to Don and Jeanne Ocvirk. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School in 1982 and Chaminade University in 1989. She married Lester Parrilla on February 14, 1990. Kim's passion and dedication for educating the keiki of Hawaii was evident in her thirty year career at Kalihi Kai Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten and second grade before moving on to academic coaching. She was loved by students and fellow teachers alike. Kim truly lived life to the fullest. Her exuberant smile and positive attitude were infectious and could light up any room. Her loyalty and commitment to those she loved will forever be cherished and dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband Lester Parrilla, children Amber, Austin, Amy and Adam, mother Jeanne Ocvirk and brother Todd Ocvirk. Kim is preceded in death by her father Don Ocvirk. Family, friends and others whose lives Kim has touched are invited to Kamehameha Schools Bishop Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 13, 2019 to celebrate her life.
