70, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2019 at his home in Pearl City. Robert "Bob" was born in Honolulu to the late George and Jane Kuwahara on March 25, 1948. He is a graduate of McKinley High School and University of Hawaii, Manoa. He enjoyed 44 years as a successful CPA, 37 of those years self-employed. He devoted many decades serving on branch boards of the YMCA of Honolulu and Mililani and was very active in the Y's Men International service organization, serving in various club officer positions Nationally, Regionally and Locally at Nu'uanu and West Oahu. Bob is survived by wife, Jeanette I. Nakano-Kuwahara; Carolyn (Eddie) Yoshimoto (sister) and Lisa Yoshimoto (niece) Jeri (Vinny) Canniff and Sharyn Nakano (step-daughters) Megan, Miranda & Mitchell Canniff and Isaac Sumera (grandchildren) Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2019, 6:00 PM at Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
