Age 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 1, 2019 at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame, CA. She was born on May 13, 1933 in Pusan, Korea, and came to Honolulu in 1958. She was a McKinley High School graduate, and was married to Harry Sang Park for 49 years before his passing in 2010. Kyung Soon was a bilingual teacher at Kaahumanu Elementary School, and later became a successful business owner for 17 years, managing two Waikiki retail businesses with Harry. In 2013, Kyung Soon moved to Foster City, CA, to be closer to her grandson. Kyung Soon was a kind, loving, caring, generous, selfless individual with a radiant smile, devoted to her family and extended family. Kyung Soon was preceded in death by her husband Harry Sang Park and her sister Mi Ja Yum. She is survived by sons Dale Park and Eugene (Julie) Park, grandson Niconalu Park; sisters Kyung Ae Kim, Kyung Ja Tark; brothers Sung Yong (Sue Jung) Tark, Sung Yoon Tark; nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visitation: Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., services to follow. Burial: 2:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
