79, of Ewa Beach, peacefully passed on March 22, 2019. Born in Honouliuli. Retired Honolulu Fire Department captain. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane (Dec. 5, 2007). He is survived by dear friend and companion Barbara Ross. Loving father of Kristine (Ronan) Nekomoto, and Miles (Cathy). Proud grandfather of Austin and Hunter Nekomoto, Kendall and Kevin Kushima. Further survived by sisters Mary Haverluck, Nancy Smith, May Oba and Janet Kushima. Celebration of life will be held on May 3, 2019 at Mililani Memorial Park, Mauka Chapel. Visitation 5:15 p.m., fire department "pass-in-review" ceremony and services 6:30 p.m. Aloha attire.
