FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

ELIZABETH “BETTY” LOUISE SPANN
ELIZABETH A bright light faded away on January 22, 2019. Betty brought joy to many lives throughout her varied career, as a Pan-Am executive, a manager for Schuler Homes, and founding partner of Choice Properties. She recognized talent and mentored many women. She found it especially gratifying guiding young couples in buying their first home. Betty made friends easily, across a wide diversity of people, including almost everyone who ever rode with her in a elevator. She loved to laugh and to have others laugh along with her. A perfect hostess, she entertained often, with style and generosity, leaving guests with convivial memories of shared feasting and lively conversation. Betty was always curious, always learning, ready to have new experiences and deepen her knowledge. She read widely, enjoyed music, art, and theater. Broadly traveled, she spent time on every continent except Australia and Antarctica. Betty and her husband rose to the challenges of great adventures in out-of-the-way places. With her smile and genial manner, she somehow communicated even in circumstances when words were fruitless. Survived by husband, Jay Lowell Rego, sister Deborah Spann, several hanai families, and innumerable friends. Private services were held.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
