SAMUEL MAPU KA’AHA’AINA, JR.
81, died on March 24, 2019. He was born in Puea, Waianae, on January 22, 1938 to Samuel and Esther Ka'aha'aina, Sr. He graduated from Waipahu High School in 1956 and retired as a Carpenter with Hawaiian Dredging, Local 745. Sam is survived by Elsie, his wife of 61 years, Daughters: Darlene (Karl) Noa, Pastor Geri (Apostle Jay) Amina, Audrey (Tui) Ala, Nani (Jason) Jeremiah, Kris Parish; Sons: Sam (Tammy), and Puna (Tanya) Ka'aha'aina; 23 Grandchildren, 30 Great grandchildren; Brothers: David, Matthew, and Albert Ka'aha'aina; Sisters: Elizabeth Mikasobe, Ruth Onekea, Lulu Awa'a, and Genevive Berry. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Ark of Safety Christian Fellowship Center in Waianae Mall, where Sam was a member and Elder. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 7 at 9:30 a.m. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Mortuary Park.
