75, passed away on March 31, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 26, 1944 in Honolulu, HI and grew up in Kaimuki. He was a City & County of Honolulu Firefighter for 31 years and retired in 1999. After enjoying retirement for several years, he worked as an agricultural inspector at Honolulu International Airport. Gary loved cooking, golfing, traveling to Las Vegas and visiting his son's family in California. He was a member of the Honolulu Elks Lodge, where he enjoyed time socializing with his friends. He is survived by his wife Vernette of 52 years, son Napp Fukuda (Erin Kennedy), daughter Tracy Fukuda, grandsons Jack and Adam, brother Kazu Kauinana (Kelly) and sister Wanda Rewick (Ken).
