, 83 It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Murakami, announce his passing on April 1, 2020. The family will be scheduling a celebration of life service for a later date. Nakamura Mortuary will be assisting the family with all arrangements. Patrick was born on March 17, 1937 to Shigeru and Motoye Murakami in Wailuku and was born the youngest of 10 children. After graduating from Baldwin High School with the class of 1955, Patrick went on to earn a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Washington State University. In 1960, he married his college sweetheart, and only love, Jessie and went on to have four children. He worked as a civil engineer in both the public and private sectors. Traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends and golfing were some of his favorite pastimes. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laugh, and keen sense of humor. Patrick, now reunited with his wife Jessie, leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, sons, Michael & Scott Murakami; daughters, Susan (Jun) Castro & Cindy Richardson; grandson, Cameron Richardson; and brother Ralph Murakami; sisters Hazel Nitta and Myrtle Tajiri.
