Lorraine moved to Honolulu after graduating from Maui High School. She worked at Lanikai Store and later at Foodland where she met her husband, Roy.
In the late 1960's Lorraine operated Vineyard Grocery in Honolulu while Roy worked at Times Supermarket. They raised six children on Oahu. In the late 1980's she and Roy retired to Kula, Maui. She enjoyed gardening, going out with family and friends, bon dances, and traveling with her sister, Harriet, and friends. One of her most memorable trips was going to Machu Picchu in Peru.
She will be remembered as a strong, hard-working, loving Mom who taught us to be kind to one another, have faith, laugh, love and enjoy life. As many of those close to her know, she would often say, "Maui No Ka Oi!" She was truly a Kula girl and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by sons, Cyrus and Lance, daughters, Mona (Neil) Nakamura, Karen Magno, and Cheryl (Wesley) Otani, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great- grandchild. She is also survived by brothers, Tadashi Agena, Shigeto (Claudia) Agena, Kazuo (Janet) Agena, Minoru (Gloria) Agena, sister Harriet Taniguchi, sister-in-law Dale Agena, and uncle Kiyoshi (Ruthene) Nakanishi, many nieces and nephews. Private services were held.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
