Alden Akio Kawamura passed away peacefully at 74 on September 10, 2020. He was born on October 13, 1945 to James Tsutae Kawamura and Yoshie Kawamura. He attended Punahou School and San Francisco State University. He will be remembered as a kind, patient, caring English and news writing teacher, and yearbook advisor at Mililani High School. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeani, daughter Jamie, husband Chris Blake, grandsons Cade and Riley, his favorite dachshund, Hauoli. He was predeceased by his parents. He was blessed to be in a loving and supporting care home with Wannette Gaylord, Rudy Benigno and his caregivers, Juvy Banda, and Zorayda Ancolin. Island Hospice provided gentle and comforting care on his final journey.
A private service will be held at a later date.
